EBS Tournament - 2008

Season recap

Oklahoma, led by Heisman trophy winner Sam Bradford, earned the top seed in the tournament after beating Missouri in the Big 12 Championship. The Sooners finished with the same record as Texas Tech and Texas in the Big 12 South (the three teams were 1-1 against each of the other two), but earned a place in the Big 12 Championship game by having the highest BCS ranking at the end of the season (the conference's fifth tiebreaking criteria).

Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, and the Florida Gators topped Alabama in the SEC championships during Tide coach Nick Saban's second season. Utah and Boise St finished their seasons undefeated, while S. California's lone loss was to Oregon St.
